Flying High with the West Coast Eagles

West Coast Eagles - Round 10 team

Two changes from the team that broke a seven game losing streak against Adelaide on Saturday:

WEST COAST EAGLES
B: Brett Jones, Darren Glass, Adam Selwood
HB: Beau Waters, Beau Wilkes, Andrew Embley
C: Michael Braun, Matt Priddis, Chad Fletcher
HF: Brad Ebert, Josh Kennedy, Brent Staker
F: David Wirrpanda, Quinten Lynch, Steven Armstrong
Foll: Dean Cox, Tyson Stenglein, Daniel Kerr
I/C: Tim Houlihan, Ben McKinley, Matt Rosa, Will Schofield
EMG: Ryan Davis, Mark Nicoski, Mark Seaby
In: Kerr, Waters
Out: Chris Masten (general soreness), Ryan Davis

Masten is out which is a big one, would’ve been nice to see him stride out on the ‘G. Kerr is a more than useful replacement through. Waters is back after a quad strain and comes in for Ryan Davis.

The trial of one recognised ruckman continues, with Mark Seaby still out. Quinten Lynch has a good record at the MCG so don’t be surprised to see him have a good game. It will be interesting to see how second gamers Wilkes and Houlihan go, Wilkes in particular as he will probably get Travis Cloke.

Saturday arvo footy from the ‘G, bring it on.

  1. I just hope that Masten’s “general soreness” is just that, and not Eagle-speak for something diabolical. It’s not uncommon to give rookies a week off every now and then, but only two weeks after a bye makes me wonder …

  2. Remember his year last year was ruined by OP. I hope it’s not a return of that. I just think it’s a strange game for him to miss - MCG, big stage, like you say 2 weeks after the bye. Hope I’m not reading too much into this.
