New: Ryan Davis (NorthShore, NSW)

Ryan Davis, a scholarship holder from NSW who today was elevated from the rookie list has been named to make his debut for the club. The 18 year old has been playing off the half back line for Swans and has done well with a number of shut down roles. He has also offered plenty of run from defence and should have his hands full with the Roo’s forward line containing the likes of Thomas, Campbell and McMahon.

Bigger news is Beau Waters - one of the most dependable Eagles in 08 - is out with a thigh. He joins a long list already including Chad Jones and now McNamara. Waters loss is a (yet another) blow to the club. Armstrong was dropped. You’d have to think injuries saved the likes of Fletcher and Nicoski from the chop also.

In come the dependable Priddis, and bigs Seaby and Staker, as well as Davis.
