NAB Challenge: West Coast Eagles vs Essendon Wrap

kennedyvbombers.jpgThe West Coast Eagles completed their third straight pre-season win with a come from behind victory over the Bombers at Subiaco oval last night.

In both teams final hit-out prior to the season proper kicking off in a fortnight’s time, strong line-ups were employed by both sides and a tight contest was the result.

West Coast 3.4 6.6 11.8 15.10 (100)
Essendon 3.3 7.6 12.8 14.10 (94)

GOALS
West Coast: Hansen 5, Hunter 2, Lynch 2, Embley 2, Le Cras, Kennedy, Cox, Wirrpanda
Essendon: Stanton 4, Davey 2, Lucas 2, Lovett-Murray, Watson, Monfries, Hille, McVeigh, Peverill

BEST
West Coast: Embley, Hansen, Cox, Lynch, J Kennedy
Essendon: Stanton, Davey, Houli, McVeigh, Hille

The Eagles will be thrilled with the continued good form of the re-modeled team; Ashley Hansen kicked 5 goals, Josh Kennedy backed up from last weekend with another strong game, Andrew Embley, Chad Fletcher, Dean Cox and Matt Priddis were all influential through the midfield.

    1. Hey Dude,
Think you have an issue with your Blog Template for a single post as the post is being repeated.

Also, whats the word on Masten and Selwood? Are either or both of them going to play round one? Selwood seems like he has done well in the NAB series, wondering if he will be good for my Dream Team?
      TIA
      Molly

    2. Yeah there is a problem with the blog template - can’t seem to find where the problem is though… not php savvy enough!

Masten has been suspended so hasn’t played any of the NAB games, but is probably the more likely of the two to make an impression in season 1. Selwood has been good but don’t expect him to crack the 22 round 1. Masten might be there by round 3/4. For DT purposes I reckon Masten’s a better pick, just my opinion.
