West Coast Eagles All-Australians 2007
And now for some good news.
Dean Cox was selected to the team for the third straight year and was chosen to lead the ruck after another stellar season in the middle. Daniel Kerr was selected for the first time and in spite of missing five games during the home and away season he was also chosen as one of the team’s first choice onballers. Darren Glass capped another standout year on the last line of defence and backed up his selection to full-back in 06 with a second selection in that position this season.
Clearly Cox, Kerr and Glass were our best players throughout the year and fully deserve their league recognition. It will be interesting to witness how the club champion awards progress, and with both Kerr and Cox missing games, Glass looms as a possible winner of the award. Having now won two All-Australian jumpers, he could win a club champion award and become the Eagle’s most decorated Full-back.*
*Ashley McIntosh won All-Australian honours and was named club champion in season 1998.

Yay Glassy (and Coxy and Kerry too). Hopefully Glassy can add the B&F to his resume in 2007, and “premiership captain” in 2008.
