It’s time for a post of the usual post-season / not-yet-pre-season odds and ends.

• Saturday is National Draft Day with the expected super draft being divvied up amongst the teams. We have selection 16, 29, 43, 50 and (possibly) 82
• You won’t get any draft selection tips from me - gone are the days when particular players were on particular clubs radars. How the draft plays out is more an issue of how each club rates the players from 1 to 30/50/80 (depending on the strength of the draft). I do expect some talls to get selected in our take this year however.
• SEN has live radio coverage which you can listen in to over the net. There is no live TV coverage however.
• Pre-season training has begun for the Premiers, with players returning gradually over the next couple of weeks due to injuries and seniority. Assistant Coach gave the returning Ashley Sampi a reminder of what he missed in the last game the club played.
• Incidentally, Sampi was the only Eagles selection from the LAST super-draft (2001) not to play in the grand final
