If you look carefully at this photo, not only do you see the Eagles on the scoreboard, you can also see a tied-down windsock.
That’s right, it’s a photo from when we beat a depleted Bombers side on their home ground by 7 points. It’s also remembered these days for a spectator leaning over the fence on the final siren and placing Don Pyke in a headlock.
The forward flank at the top right of this is where Woosha famously splattered Graham Wright in 1997.
Carny, I’ve taken some liberties to tidy that comment of yours up. Hopefully, alls in order now, although I did take a stab at the photo you were referring to in the case of Worsfold, J vs. Wright, G at Victoria Park. One of Woosha finest efforts, in my opinion.
Didn’t pick the wind sock at Windy Hill in the photo, I mustn’t've wanted to cause myself an eye injury by dwelling to long on horrific sight of the windy hill mob circa 91. Eeek!
You must have some crazy reminders in your calendar to be pulling out that sort of trivia. Outstanding stuff!
We didn’t fare too badly at Vic Park from memory. Certainly in the later stages of the old concrete heap’s life. I remember a young Fraser Gehrig giving an equally young Mal Michael fits there one year.
One of the little projects I’ve implemented on my site in the last week or so was an “On This Day” section on the sidebar. It spits out a random fact like that one each day. Took an evening to trawl through the books for the dates, and about fifteen minutes to implement.
I just knew that one because it was today’s entry.
Does anyone actually know if there is a video of Woosha’s greatest bumps? It would be superb.
If so could you please leave a comment on what it is and where i can get one.

That’s the photo I was referring to. Wright hit the ground and bounced about three feet in the air. The Pies just folded like a card table.
Good times.
Today is the 18th anniversary of the day Woosha shitmixed Rod Grinter at the MCG, incidentally.

That’s worth sending Woosh a card for!

I love it!

Surely every day during the footy season is the anniversary of Woosha shitmixing someone?
It’s just the extra special shitmixes, such as Brereton that stand out.
